Activists for Social Development Fellowship

New York City
May 27, 2014- August 1, 2014, Paid

Since 2010, the All Stars Project has hosted a fellowship program designed for recent college graduates to participate in a crash course in community organizing, fundraising, and youth development! The program is an excellent introduction to the nonprofit sector, and an opportunity to receive hands-on experience in various departments, working with a variety of people.

For the summer of 2014, we are hiring 10 recent college graduates, or students graduating in the spring of 2014, for a competitive, 10-week summer fellowship program that is designed to challenge them to be self-starters and make a difference - and along the way provide high-level training in community organizing, fundraising, nonprofit management and youth development at a major national nonprofit organization with an outside-the-box approach.

See what past fellows have to say about their summer at the All Stars here!

All fellows will learn the crucial skills of fundraising and program development. Fellows will be integrated into the Development and Youth Programs Departments of the All Stars Project: they will be trained in donor acquisition by participating in the All Stars hallmark "street performance" model of street fundraising; will assist in producing and participating in events and conferences; will learn about the youth work of the All Stars by doing youth outreach and program production; and will be placed in one department to work hands-on with that staff department team. The fellowship program will be a chance to work with the country's leading grassroots organizers who have built the All Stars Project; to see how the All Stars has changed the lives of thousands of inner-city young people; to interact with the youth programs that serve 10,000 inner-city kids per year; and to join the growing numbers of young adults dedicating themselves to making a difference in the world by building the All Stars community.

Applications for summer 2014 are now closed. Please check back in January 2015 for information about the summer 2015 Activists for Social Development Fellowship in New York City.
