Ms. Fiess joined the All Stars Project of New York as Director of Youth Development and Outreach in January 2016. Prior to that, Kathy joined the New Jersey All Stars team as Associate Director in 2013, at the Scott Flamm Center for Afterschool Development. Ms. Fiess joined Gloria Strickland in creating a vibrant center dedicated to bringing development opportunities to the Newark community and advancing the recognition and importance of afterschool development.

Kath’s All Stars roots go even deeper. She helped lead the early grassroots fundraising efforts, has been a key volunteer with the All Stars Talent Show Network in NYC, and well as a member of the All Stars Project Board of Directors.

Before coming to the All Stars, Ms. Fiess had a career in executive search in financial services. From 1993 – 1997, she was the Director of Operations for the Somerset Community Action Program (SCAP), which ran Head Start and afterschool programs in Somerset, NJ. Kathy also served as Director of Individual Giving at Fountain House, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping people with mental illness rebuild their lives.

Kathy received her B.A. in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Montclair State University and an M.A. in Developmental Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University.
