President and CEO of the All Stars Project (ASP), Chris Street recently hosted the annual CEO Roundtable, themed “Collaborating for Change: Creating New Approaches to Youth & Community Development,” in New York City. The event brought together a dynamic group of thought leaders, innovators and trailblazers dedicated to driving impactful change in youth and community development. With generous support from Paramount Global, ASP welcomed a range of inspiring voices.

We were joined by All Stars Board Chair Nat Christian, who set an inspiring tone for a day filled with critical discussions and innovative ideas. The roundtable featured thought-provoking insights from the book Built for More: The Role of Out-of-School Time in Preparing Youth for the Future of Work, including concepts from a chapter co-authored by ASP’s leaders on building developmental ecosystems for young people outside of school and in workforce settings. ASP’s Senior VP Antoine Joyce-Roach moderated an engaging panel that included Gabrielle Kurlander (ASP), Byron Sanders (Big Thought), Anne Sylvester (J.P. Morgan Private Bank), and discussant Shade Magare (KPMG). Their dialogue underscored the growing recognition and support for out-of-school time programs across the nation, emphasizing their essential role in preparing youth for the future of work.

A highlight of the event was hearing from three outstanding Development School for Youth alumni—Claudia Reyes, Keilah Pavez, and Mariabelen Carpio—who shared powerful stories about their internship and apprenticeship experiences at Paramount Global. Their journeys of growth and discovery reminded everyone of the transformative impact of development-focused programming.

The day also featured a compelling discussion on the theme “Innovations on the Ground: Can We Grow Beyond Poverty in America?” moderated by our very own Chris Street featuring a dynamic line up of community leaders—Chad Houser (Café Momentum), Karen Kenkel (ICA Cristo Rey Academy), and Benaye Wadkins Chambers (Crossroads Community Services)—who shared their unique perspectives on addressing the complex challenges surrounding poverty and community development.

ASP remains committed to fostering collaborative conversations that drive sustainable change. We look forward to continuing these discussions and working together to expand opportunities and support for our youth and communities.
