Founded in 1981, the All Stars Project (ASP) creates free, outside-of-school programs for youth from poor and underserved communities. As a national nonprofit organization, All Stars runs programs in New York City, Newark, Jersey City, Dallas, the San Francisco Bay Area, and Chicago, in addition to hosting virtual programs reaching young people across the country. All Stars encourages young people to try new performances, onstage and in life, which supports their development and allows them to see new possibilities for themselves and their communities.

Since launching in 2007, All Stars Project of Chicago has touched the lives of over 35,000 young people – many from the South and West Sides hardest hit by violence. The business and philanthropic communities work with All Stars to address the city’s tough issues and enthusiastically support the All Stars Talent Show Network, the Development School for Youth, and now the Hub for Afterschool Development. The Hub, ASP of Chicago’s new downtown home, supports ASP’s vision to create ONE Chicago – bringing growth and development to all of Chicago’s youth.

Please join us on Thursday, June 8 for our All Star Project of Chicago Spring Benefit: Creating ONE Chicago. This year, we will be honoring Neal, Gerber & Eisenberg LLP (NGE) as a founding and loyal partner to ASP of Chicago and our Emerging Leaders – a group of dynamic individuals who are shaping the future of ASP of Chicago. The individuals being recognized include Joy Crenshaw (Senior Managing Director and Head of Global Sales & Advisor Development, Nuveen), Bob Kurinsky (Chief Operating & Financial Officer, Driehaus Capital Management), Tisa Morris (Executive Director Community Engagement at the Cook County Sheriff’s Office), and Jocelyn Vega (Director of Trauma Initiatives, Illinois Collaboration on Youth). These amazing people have positively impacted the lives of thousands of young people across Chicago, and we are proud to recognize their commitment to our youth.

ASP of Chicago is also proud to present LaTanya Johnson, Founder of LaTanya & the Youth of Englewood Organization with our Community Leadership Award. The Community Leadership Awards are presented to Chicagoans who bring positive change to our city’s communities and maintain a strong connection to young people and families.

Please purchase a sponsorship or ticket or make a special gift to this year’s event in honor of NGE and our Emerging Leaders. Your support helps ensure we can provide underserved youth in Chicago with life-changing programming.

We look forward to celebrating with you as we continue to create hope and opportunity for our young people. Thank you for your generosity!

If you have any questions, please contact Amy Kaczmarek, Senior Director of Development, at 312-994-3111 or at akaczmarek@allstars.org.
