The All Stars Project (ASP) of Chicago is proud to announce that Sonia Menon, Chief Operating Officer at Neal Gerber Eisenberg, has been appointed Chair of the ASP of Chicago Board. She succeeds Ben Nortman (Hilco Global) and Catherine Carraway (Equity Residential), who served as co-chairs from 2021 to 2024.

A dedicated member of the ASP of Chicago Board since 2019, Sonia has also served on the national Board of Directors since 2022. She brings a deep passion for ASP’s mission and a steadfast commitment to transforming the lives of youth from underserved communities through ASP’s development through performance approach. As Board Chair, she will lead efforts to expand ASP’s programs, providing thousands more young people with essential career development opportunities.

Chris Street, President and CEO of the All Stars Project, Inc. shared his enthusiasm for Sonia’s leadership:
“Sonia’s unwavering dedication to the All Stars Project, coupled with her leadership at Neal Gerber Eisenberg, makes her the ideal choice to chair the Chicago Advisory Board. Her vision and commitment to youth development will strengthen our ability to bridge communities and create life-changing opportunities for young people in Chicago.”

Sonia and Neal Gerber Eisenberg have been dedicated partners of the All Stars Project of Chicago since its founding in 2007 by ASP of Chicago Founder and former NGE employee David Cherry. NGE attorneys and staff actively participate in ASP programs and the Leslie J. Raffel Development School for Youth each year, hosting workshops, offering coaching, and providing paid internships—helping young people gain valuable skills and professional experience.

In reflecting on her new role, Sonia shared:
“I am proud to serve as Chair of the All Stars Project of Chicago Board and to continue serving on the national Board. This very special organization has a unique approach that works. By engaging youth in underserved communities through a performance-based approach to development, in partnership with caring adults, ASP has a real impact on the lives of young people.”

Sonia has been a key advisor and a model partner of ASP, providing philanthropic support and hands-on involvement across a variety of All Stars programs and events. Her leadership in this new role will be instrumental in expanding opportunities for the young people, equipping them with the skills and experiences needed to build successful futures.
