FTI Consulting and All Stars Project Partner on Birdies for Development Campaign

Published by Christina DiChiara

The All Stars Project is proud to join FTI Consulting and PGA golfers Webb Simpson and Charles Howell III in the Birdies for Development campaign to benefit our Afterschool Development programs. A group of All Stars youth participants along with Gabrielle Kurlander, ASP President and CEO, took to the links of this year’s US Open at Shinnecock Hills Golf Course and were guests of Mr. Simpson and Mr. Howell during their practice rounds on June 12. The youth had the opportunity to speak about what it means to be professionals on the course and in business.

Mr. Simpson and Mr. Howell III will each personally donate to the All Stars Project for every birdie they make at the 2018 U.S. Open beginning this Thursday. FTI Consulting will match each of their donations in addition to donations made by their employees. The campaign aims to raise $20,000.

“We’re so thrilled that these champions are going under-par so our young people can have above-par learning experiences. Many thanks to Webb, to Charles and to FTI for teeing up this support. For kids who grow up in the rough, it means a lot!” said Gabrielle Kurlander, President and CEO, All Stars Project.

Over our 17-year partnership with FTI Consulting professionals have logged thousands of volunteer hours across the United States and have hosted Development School for Youth mock interviews and in-house workshops. DSY participants have also had the opportunity to join FTI Consulting’s annual summer internship program. FTI Consulting also sponsors the annual ASP National Gala Benefit and New York DSY Luncheon and is heavily involved “Operation Conversation: Cops and Kids,” which creates performance-based workshops that bring inner-city teenagers together with NYPD officers to build and improve their relationships.

We appreciate the support of Mr. Howell, Mr. Simpson and FTI Consulting as our partners and investors in the growth of inner-city youth!
