All Stars Project of New Jersey Launches Operation Conversation: Cops & Kids

In an important partnership between All Stars and Mayor Ras J. Baraka and the City of Newark, All Stars was proud to announce the launch of Operation Conversation: Cops & Kids in New Jersey’s largest city. Cops & Kids director and ASP co-founder Dr. Lenora Fulani led the first workshop in Newark at the ASP of NJ Scott Flamm Center for Afterschool Development last summer and the initiative will involve 300 police officers and young people in 14 workshops in all five of the city’s wards.

On July 27th, the All Stars Project of Dallas participated in the 3rd Annual Let’s Talk Police & Youth Forum with a record breaking 1,400 individuals in attendance! During the event, 8 ASTSN youth and 6 police officers collaborated on a moving hip-hop segment. The focus for this year’s event was “community first”.
South Dallas Memorial Day Weekend Talent Show

On May 27th, in partnership with the Dallas Police Department and Police Activities League we produced our first ever talent show in South Dallas. We were joined by 180 community members, including, 28 volunteers, 137 audience members, and 15 police officers. There were 21 performance acts.
